This is a terminal for storage and distribution of petrol and biofuel products located in the Port of Barcelona. The storage capacity is 650,000 m3, distributed in 32 tanks with a range of capacities of 3000 m3 to 30,000 m3. It has 7 islets for the loading of tanker trucks, fully automated, with a load capacity of 400 trucks / day. The installations carried out are the following:
ELECTRICITY
- 25-kV reception and transformation centre and 1000-kVA transformer
- 1250-kVA diesel generator
- General low-voltage distribution panel
- Engine manoeuvring panel
- High-efficiency speed shifters with low harmonic IGBT technology for 250-kW pumps
- Laying of trays and power cables for ATEX zones
- Exterior lighting, tanks and truck-loading and auxiliary zones
- Installation of the steam-recuperation and water processing unit
- Supply and assembly of electrical tracing for biodiesel tanks, interior biodiesel and fuel oil pipes. Tracing of exterior lines to loading areas with long-line system
INSTRUMENTATION
- Supply and assembly of Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) and distribution panel
- Installation of the tank-level measuring system
- Installation of the truck-loading system, including product counters, additive feeders, earthing, overload detection, and operator terminal
- Installation of the auxiliary instrumentation of the terminal
- Fuel oil tank-heating system with thermal oil
- Laying of trays and power control cables for ATEX zones
- Closed-circuit television and intercom and public address system
AUTOMATION AND CONTROL
- Supply and assembly of the control panel with PLC and communications system
- Development of the control software of the terminal, including the tank-levelling system, loading and offloading of vessels, automatic truck-loading, product pumps, and entry and exit scales
- Each islet has 4 bottom loading arms for diesel fuels and gasolines with the possibility of mixing 2 biodiesels in diesel fuels and bioethanol in gasolines including tax and quality additives
- Development of the SCADA supervision software of the terminal
- Development of the management software of the terminal
- Remote maintenance service for the control system
